Alexander has been active in the strategic management consulting and finance business for over 25 years. Before joining InfraKAP, he was a member of the Board of Directors at the Uralsib finance corporation and was involved in the planning and implementation of its crisis restructuring programme. Previously, he was a global partner of the Monitor Group, a leading international investment and strategy consulting firm formed with the participation of Harvard Business School faculty, where he was in charge of its operations in Russia and the CIS. Before working for Monitor, Alexander was a partner at A.T. Kearney, which he had joined together with partners from Cannon Associates, the first management consulting firm in Russia that he managed to launch. Alexander has professional experience in the nuclear power sector.
Alexander sits on the Expert Council under the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and works in the Open Government of Russian Federation. He is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Kremlin Horse Riding School.
Alexander Tolkachev received an engineering degree from the Moscow Physics and Engineering Institute and completed a business administration programme at the American Institute of Business and Economics.
Alexander has been awarded a certificate of appreciation by the President of the Russian Federation.
