Alexander has 30 years of experience in the field of strategic and operational consulting, financial institutions, and industry. For 25 years, Alexander has been acting as an adviser to shareholders and senior managers of clients from the United States, Europe, and Russia on strategy development, implementation of corporate transformation programs, programs to improve operational efficiency, innovation and investment management, and investment transactions.
Alexander built and managed the processes of strategic planning, operational and corporate governance in the Financial Corporation “Uralsib”, as well as the processes of investment management and portfolio of financial businesses. Alexander oversaw the development and execution of strategy and operational plans, strategic and business planning, key investment processes in the 7 key companies of the Group, and managed the formation of partnerships and mergers.
Alexander was a member of the Supervisory Board of Uralsib Bank. Alexander chaired the strategy and investment committees.
Before joining Uralsib in 2013, Alexander was a Senior Partner at the international strategic management consulting company, Monitor Group. He was the head of Moscow office and responsible for Monitor’s consulting, investment and transactional business in Russia/CIS for 9 years. Before joining Monitor Group in 2004, Aleksander was the head of the A.T. Kearney and the Cannon Associates offices in Moscow for 14 years.
Mr. Tolkachev was a member of the Russian Federation Prime Minister’s Expert Council since 2012.
Alexander Tolkachev was honored with the President of the Russian Federation’s Commendation.
Mr. Tolkachev graduated from Moscow Engineering and Physics Institute with honors in 1989 and got a degree in business administration at the Russian-American Independent University in 1992.
